“Mystifier(法)”和“mystify(英)”，一定和“mystery”(神秘)有关系吧？如果什么东西对你来说是个“mystery”，你肯定不知道它的奥秘。就象是看变魔术，你会感到神奇（intrigued），感到困惑（puzzled）， 你会说：“Wow! How did you do that?”

几年前，法国发生过一件奇案：一个叫 Thierry Tilly 的法国人用心理操纵术控制了波尔多的一个贵族家庭长达9年。他谎称 “共济会”阴谋暗杀他们，不仅借机侵吞了他们的百万家财，还哄骗，胁迫他们逃亡英国，隐姓埋名，靠打工维生。

    当时的一则报纸标题说：
               Le gourou avait mystifié la famille de notables.
               欺诈大师哄骗/愚弄了一家名门望族。

     文中提到：“La psychologue qui l'a expertisé le décrit en « mystificateur ».”

     为他作精神鉴定（expertiser）的心理学家把他描述为“mystificateur”——利用别人的信任进行洗脑，心理操控，行骗的“欺诈师”。

      这种“大师”并不少见吧？童鞋们碰到过吗？（搞传销的就算是吧？）
